Help Called to Rescue Defend the Defenseless

Non-profit organization “Called to Rescue” needs your help!

The worldwide organization aims to protect children from sex trafficking, violence and abuse.

Having had experienced abuse and harassment myself, I feel deeply for all the young children in the world who are too young and powerless to fight these so-called grown-ups who have nothing better to do than appease their carnal desires or collect money from those whose carnal desires need appeasing. I have nothing but hatred and pity for these kinds of people, honestly.

There are people so poor that they’re willing to trade their own daughters for money. It’s a pity that poverty has forced them to resort to abusing their own flesh and blood in exchange for food in their mouths.

For me, the abuse here is really about power, and it’s about the criminals exercising their power to take away young girls’ innocence. It’s horrible. These people have no souls; they don’t think about the countless lives who had to suffer emotionally. The abused children can better spend their young lives playing and actually having fun, but what do they get instead? They even need years of therapy just to cope with their lives.

So I urge everyone to do something about this problem. Children, especially those from third world countries, have worse luck since their government lack the manpower and the funds to help stop the atrocity and jail the criminals!

Currently, Called to Rescue needs toys, gifts, cash, clothing, non-perishable food and miscellaneous items like toiletries, blankets, pillows and soap. The charity drive will run until January 12, 2013, only so be quick on your feet, hit the pedal to the metal and donate!

88 Mangos will distribute the items to over 200 children staying in various safe houses provided by Called To Rescue.

For more information about the organization, visit http://www.calledtorescue.com.ph/.

To find out how you can make a difference (i.e. where to donate the items by January 12th) send an email to [email protected]. If you fail to donate by Saturday, you can always deposit to the org’s BDO account or send money through Paypal.

Stop the abuse. Help stop the abomination, especially in the Philippines.
